Employment

AVA Migrant Training & Employment Centre is part of the services offered by the Australian Vietnamese Women’s Association Inc. We provide free employment services to job seekers and employers. Our employment programs have been funded by Federal and State governments.
Over the past ten years, we have been continually receiving funding from Employment Victoria for Community Business Employment (CBE), Community Job Program (CJP), Workforce Participant Partnership (WPP) and New Work partnership (NWP). In 2010, the program name was changed to Victoriawork funded by the Department of Innovation Industrial Regional Development (DIIRD) to provide free employment services for Vietnamese job seekers.
In addition, we are also helping parents return to work (Returning to Earning) or participate in short courses to improve their skills and employment opportunities.
Over the past ten years, we have helped more than a thousand job seekers to gain permanent employment.
