🎉 Congratulations to Our 2025 AVWA Scholarship Successful Candidates!

We are proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 AVWA Scholarship Program— congratulations to Mr. Anh Quang Khanh Le and Mr. Hoang Minh Le!

Both recipients demonstrated outstanding academic potential, a strong commitment to community service, and a deep passion for pursuing careers in the health and wellbeing sector. Their dedication and resilience exemplify the values we uphold at AVWA — empowering individuals to achieve their aspirations and make a positive impact in their communities.

Each scholarship, valued at $10,000, will support their educational journey through incremental payments aligned with their academic milestones.

About Mr. Anh Quang Khanh Le

Khanh Le is a shining example of purpose-driven leadership and compassion in action. Currently undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery, Khanh is deeply committed to advancing health outcomes in the community. He has actively supported vulnerable groups through volunteer efforts with the Vietnamese Student Association during the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to give back as a regular blood donor, organ donor, and humanitarian volunteer in Vietnam.

Balancing a demanding academic schedule with his service mindset, Khanh has earned a Distinction-level GPA and glowing endorsements from clinical educators. His story is one of quiet resilience, humility, and unwavering dedication to building a more caring and inclusive society — values that deeply align with AVWA’s mission.

About Mr. Hoang Minh Le

Minh Le is a powerful advocate for mental health and social justice. As a current Master of Counselling student, he brings empathy, vision, and professional purpose to his work. Minh has contributed meaningfully to the community through volunteer counselling, sexual health education, and youth empowerment initiatives across Australia and Vietnam.

His impressive record of service includes leading awareness campaigns and supporting young people affected by family violence. Minh’s authenticity, leadership, and deep sense of social responsibility set him apart as a rising changemaker in the mental health space

 

💙 Extending Our Support Beyond Scholarships

While our annual scholarship program is designed to recognise academic excellence and community commitment, AVWA also remains deeply attuned to the lived realities of those who show extraordinary resilience under challenging circumstances. In 2025, alongside our two scholarship recipients, we are proud to extend a Financial Assistance Package to a deserving individual who exemplifies perseverance, compassion, and quiet strength.

In recognition of her exceptional character and determination, AVWA awarded Tanya a Financial Assistance Package of $5,000 in 2025 to support her continued studies and personal development. Tanya’s journey reflects the very heart of our mission — that potential should never be limited by circumstance, and with the right support, individuals can not only overcome adversity but rise to uplift others.

About Ms. Thanh (Tanya) Nguyen

Tanya Nguyen is a devoted mother, full-time community worker, and passionate advocate for wellbeing. As a current staff member at AVWA, Tanya embodies resilience and service, having navigated immense personal hardship while raising her children and continuing both professional and academic growth.
