2025 AVWA’s Scholarship Program

At AVWA, our mission is to help individuals realise their full potential.

In 2024, AVWA successfully delivered two $10,000 scholarships for two outstanding candidates both majoring in Psychology.

From 2025, AVWA continues to support eligible community members in achieving their learning and career aspirations through our AVWA Scholarship Program.

We are offering two $10,000 scholarships for students currently enrolled or enrolling in nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, mental health or related health and wellbeing disciplines in Australia.

Successful scholarship applicants will be paid incrementally after successful enrolment ($2000), completion of the first six months ($4000) and completion of the course ($4000). Funds may go towards tuition, books, equipment, accommodation, or any related learning expense. Students may be selected to undertake 6 weeks of paid vacation work in their final years of study or work placement with AVWA. Applicants can be in any year of study.

Preference will be given to AVWA members, employees, volunteers, clients, or their relatives, and applicants who can demonstrate their willingness and ability to overcome hardship.

2025 AVWA Scholarship eligibility:

• Individuals that currently holds a course enrolment in nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, mental health or related health and wellbeing disciplines in Australia.
• Individuals must provide 02 recommendation letters, proof of ATA and course enrolment confirmation.
• Individuals must be passionate in contributing to the community in Australia.
• Individuals are Australian citizens, holders of Australian permanent residency or humanitarian visa types.

2025 AVWA Scholarship timeline

• Friday, 7 March 2025: Application opens.
• Friday, 27 April 2025: Application closes (11:59pm).
• From 19 May 2025 to 30 May 2025: Interview process starts.
• From June: Results release.
