50th Anniversary of Vietnamese Diaspora in Australia - Exhibition at The Queen’s Hall, Parliament House 28 – 30 October 2025

🌟 A Celebration of Community, Culture & Collaboration at Parliament! 🌟

AVWA was honoured to forces with fellow community service organisations this week to exhibit at the iconic Queen’s Hall in Parliament House — a truly memorable occasion launched with warmth and enthusiasm by Premier Jacinta Allan and Minister Ingrid Stitt. Thank you for acknowledging the contributions and vibrancy of the Vietnamese community in Victoria!

💫 Yesterday’s lunch launch was a beautiful convergence of cultures, voices, and stories. We were thrilled to see strong attendance from Members of Parliament across the political spectrum, alongside passionate members of the Vietnamese community. We paid tribute to the pioneers of Vietnamese settlement whose foresight and compassion helped shape our multicultural state, including the Most Venerable Thích Huyền Tôn, 98 years of age, sharing his wisdom and blessings.

👗 The live Áo Dài showcase stole the spotlight, with stunning traditional Vietnamese dress from all regions of Vietnam, modelled with pride and elegance — a vibrant tribute to our heritage.
