A Permanent Home in the North: AVWA Thomastown Now Open! Bringing care, training and connection to the City of Whittlesea

On Monday, 5th January 2026, AVWA officially opened its new permanent hub at 7 Wall Street, Thomastown, reinforcing our long-term commitment to Melbourne’s North.

By establishing a permanent location in Thomastown, AVWA is making it easier for local families to access support without unnecessary travel. This site supports elders, carers, and younger generations, now and into the future.

What You Will Find Here:

• Support at Home, Aged Care, NDIS and Health and Wellbeing services:Delivered by staff who understand your language and culture.  

• Training (RTO):Classrooms for Certificate III programs in Individual Support and Childcare – supporting local workforce development.

• Community Connection:A safe welcoming space for social and support groups such as Planned Activity Groups (PAG), Dementia Support and Playgroup.
