AGM 2022: AVWA refreshes their Committee and welcomes its founder as President
The Australian Vietnamese Women’s Association (AVWA) held their Annual General Meeting on Friday 18th November 2022 at their Springvale Offices. In attendance were a healthy number of members in person and online. There was also quite a large number of members who were unable to attend and were represented by attending members.
Interest from members to be considered for the Committee of Management was at a particularly high level likely due to the ongoing growth and success of the Association.
Former CEO and founder Mrs Cam Nguyen was elected to the President position. Re-elected into the Committee of Management was founding member and former President Ms Thanh-Kham Tran-Dang. Other new members include:
- Mai-Lan Nguyen as Secretary
- My-Hanh Tran as Treasurer
- And five CoM members: Thuy Dang, Mai-Huong Nguyen, Hoa Phan (a former CoM member), Anna Tran-Bursill and Mai-Phuong Ung
