PAG Full-moon Festival 9.9.2024

This year’s celebration at RECWEST in West Footscray brought our community together in the most vibrant way. The Full Moon Festival, or Tết Trung Thu, is a cherished tradition in Vietnamese culture, symbolising family reunion, gratitude, and the joy of childhood.

 

From an energising Zumba session to captivating performances of singing and dancing to Tai Chi performance, every moment was filled with excitement and connection. A special highlight of the day was the lantern parade, a beautiful tradition that lit up the event, symbolising unity and hope.

 

Attendees also had the opportunity to meet Ms. Ngoc Chung, CEO of AVWA, Ms. Cuc Lam, Mayor of Maribyrnong and a member of AVWA’s Committee of Management, as well as Katie Hall, State Member of Parliament for Footscray.
