Counselling Serivce

Anybody can be impacted by gambling (your own gambling or someone else's). We are here to help

What we provide

As a part of the AVWA Rehabilitation, Health and Well Being program, Gambling Counselling service is being provided to Vietnamese Victorians residing in the Inner City, Western, Northern and Eastern Regions.

Professionally trained staff, funded by the Victoria Responsible Gambling Foundation, deliver high-quality counselling face-to-face, on-call or via email under strict confidentiality procedures. We also provide support and referrals to gamblers, their family members and all those affected by gambling problems.

Don't bet your life

Since the opening of Crown Casino in 1994, many people have become addicted to gambling, resulting in family break-down and skyrocketing rate of Vietnamese female prisoners in Victoria.

Why the program is important

Gambling problems can seriously affect families and communities, despite the lack of research on this topic. While most studies focus on the impact on partners and children, it's worth noting that extended family members such as parents, grandparents, and siblings can also be affected.
